Abstract

This paper presents a dynamic multidex loading system designed to solve the Android 65K method reference limit encountered in cross-platform SDK integration for mobile ad mediation. The system, originally developed at Appodeal and deployed across millions of applications, enables runtime DEX file loading without requiring build-time multidex support from the host application. We describe the architecture, implementation challenges, and deployment experience of this system, which became responsible for powering approximately 80% of the company's revenue through its Unity SDK integration.
